About the Owner of THE HUB
Sheena Early, MPH, B.S.
As a combat veteran, scientist, and advocate for health equity, Sheena Early brings a unique blend of experience and passion to her role as the founder and CEO of The Hub: The Research Recruitment and Consulting Firm. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and a minor in Chemical Technology from Seminole State College, Sheena laid the foundation for her career in biological research.
Sheena's journey in the realm of research has been diverse and impactful. Her service as a Quick Response Force member in challenging environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan honed her resilience and commitment to making a difference. Following her military service, she pursued a Master’s degree in Public Health from Baylor University, furthering her expertise in addressing healthcare disparities and promoting health equity.
From her early days as a Medical Lab Scientist Intern at the University of Central Florida to her roles as a Research Associate Intern/Director Intern at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Orlando, FL, Sheena has been at the forefront of research concerning underserved populations. Her work focusing on homeless veterans and mobile medical laboratory operations has contributed to valuable scientific endeavors and community outreach efforts.
Driven by a commitment to advancing her expertise, Ms. Early is currently pursuing courses in medical laboratory science and a doctoral degree in Biostatistics. Concurrently, she is dedicated to nurturing The Hub, a venture aimed at fostering trust within the research industry and addressing social determinants of health. Through The Hub, Sheena seeks to promote health awareness and equity, ultimately enhancing the quality of life across diverse backgrounds and communities.
Born in Illinois and raised partly in Detroit, MI, Sheena brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by underserved communities and a strong determination to effect positive change. With her leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to health equity, Ms. Early is poised to make a lasting impact in the field of research recruitment and consulting, transforming lives and communities for the better.
